In a surprising partnership that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal release, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of forbidden rituals and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret cult.

The mission focuses on "strange experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
