Aircraft Spins Wildly into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Coast
An aircraft flying above a crowded southern California beach abruptly started spinning uncontrollably, eventually losing altitude and crashing into a row of palm fronds as beachgoers looked on.
Footage uploaded online show the aircraft beginning to twirl above the beach then descending towards the border of the shore, where it gets stuck among palm trees and a staircase near the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Details
Local firefighters said five persons were transported to a medical facility including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Details on their injuries were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
