Chiefs State They Are Aware of Domestic Violence Claims Involving Wide Receiver the Athlete
The NFL franchise released a comment Wednesday night indicating they are aware of domestic violence allegations circulated in online accounts by a ex-partner of wide receiver Rashee Rice and were in contact with the NFL.
The team omitted the name of the player by name in their announcement and stated they would have “no further comment at this time”.

Dacoda Nichole Jones, who likewise did not name the athlete directly, shared a series of photos on social media that appeared to show indicators of bodily harm. She did say the person involved was the father of her children, and reports indicate she has kids with the football player, whom the team drafted in the 2023 draft.
Police Reports Reportedly Not on File
No official complaints were available in Overland Park, Kansas where the alleged abuse is said to have taken place.
Rice's Recent Off-Field Troubles
The receiver missed the first six games of this NFL campaign following an league-mandated ban for his role in causing a crash on a Dallas highway that left several individuals injured. Rice was sentenced a month of incarceration and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to felony charges.
Statistically, he concluded the season with 53 catches for 571 yards and five touchdowns as the Kansas City finished 6-11 and missed the playoffs for the first occasion in a decade.
