Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Acclaimed writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
An official for the publisher said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was made after an investigation into claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at women.
The company declined to specify the reasons for its decision, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works altogether, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
From Screen to Page
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
